When COVID-19 hit the world, the problem was more than medical where the most felt consequences were economic. Thousands of families could only rely on government food deliveries during the total lockdown. It is at this time that people remembered the importance of saving. Saving is a discipline that requires patience, vision, and practice. This life-saving culture does not reside in the culture of many Rwandans simply because they never learned it since childhood.
Solution
We believe change begins at a young age, so we aim to begin with young people. In order for young children to develop this mindset, we created a program that will teach and facilitate saving as a journey.
