BREAKING: Police have reportedly fired rubber bullets & deployed tear gas at the Shrine of Remembrance - as a 'Freedom Rally' continues.
A large crowd has been at the war memorial in Melbourne for several hours in a standoff with authorities, who have only just begun to move in.
It's the third day of protests that begun outside the CFMEU's building on Monday, over a plan for mandatory vaccinations in the construction industry.
Authorities have now banned media helicopters from filming the rally, in what the IPA's Gideon Rozner described as "police state behaviour."
