This Maingard Grand Concert is balanced and clear with plenty of extra sustain. It's also extremely comfortable to hold. Marc Maingard eye for artistic detail and his sense of style are extraordinary. Every part of this guitar is elegant and beautiful. Even the heelcap is stunning. But what really excites me about his guitars is the tone. Many players seek out a guitar that has great fingerstyle clarity but with ample bass, they want a guitar that also sounds good strummed. Maingard guitars do all of this and more. This one is particularly bold and strong, it sounds great when you drive it a bit. But played softly it's sweet and delicate.
