Dry distillation of near anhydrous ammonia from urea and calcium hydroxide. Evaporated on glass, no residue was left behind.
-Calcium hydroxide can be a cheap substitute for sodium hydroxide in many reactions.- As a seasonal item, the price of lime has gone from $1/lb to $15-25/lb. If you see it cheap, stock up, because at $1-2 it's typically much cheaper than sodium hydroxide.
