The trial of former eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede and her 21 co-accused continues in the Durban High Court on Tuesday. The trial got underway yesterday with Gumede and her co-accused pleading not guilty to the charges that have been put to them so far - including racketeering, conspiracy to commit corruption, fraud, and money laundering. The case involves a 320-million-rand Durban Solid Waste tender which was allegedly fraudulently awarded in 2017.
