Gutanasar is an extinct volcanic peak in the Kotayk region, located on the Gegham mountain range. It is located about 3 km south of Fantan village, 4 km north east of Jraber village. The height is 2300m, the relative height is 300-320m.
The massif has the shape of a truncated cone. The slopes have a slope of 25-45°.

Gutanasar mountain is rich in perlite and pumice resources. Perlite is a volcanic glass, it looks like pearls with a diameter of 1-1.5 mm, which have a characteristic shine. It is widely used in construction, food industry (as a filter for wine, beer, fruit juices), pharmaceuticals production.
Pumice is a porous volcanic rock, it is widely used especially in construction. It is also partially used in the production of souvenirs and jewelry.
