Video: Due to a fatality at Bletchley all services on the south of West Coast Main Line (from the Birmingham area to Milton Keynes and from there to London) were all heavily delayed, halted of cancelled around the time of 14:30 and onwards for the rest of the day.
It started off as just a normal spot at Wolverton on 21st July (first time I'd been to this station), until a pair of LM 319s and a Virgin Pendolino had to stop at red signals for around 45 minutes as every train south of the station had halted. Once they moved again there was a string of unusual movements that followed such as, Pendolinos & Super Voyagers (some that had terminated and turned back at Milton Keynes) using the slow lines, an LM 350 stopping on the fast lines and some freight moves on the fast. And as a bonus I caught a Northern Class 323 which had come from Wolverton Centre Sidings, which I was surprised to see as I expected it to be a Northern Class 319 that had a repaint at the centre, but it turned out that particular 319 passed through on the following day.
TRAINS INCLUDED:
Virgin Trains Class 390 Pendolinos & Class 221 Super Voyagers, London Midland Class 319s & Class 350 Desiros, Northern Class 323, DRS Class 66, Freightliner Class 66s & Class 70.
