Raise your hand if you suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)? 🙋🏼♀️
April is IBS Awareness Month! ❤️
Most people don’t know that I was diagnosed in 2009 with IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, and Celiac’s Disease after having constant abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and intestinal bleeding that debilitated my college life until I saw a gastroenterologist who performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy to discover the cause of my symptoms.⬇️⬇️⬇️
I have been able to manage and eliminate a lot of my symptoms and issues through diet, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and…The Belly Whisperer® Method‼️
That’s why I created The Belly Whisperer® Method Online Program! I use the same methodology that I used to treat patient w/ a five step process online!✅
I spend 5 to 15 minutes a day doing diaphragmatic breathing and exercises for my program (it even helped me avoid constipation during and after my pregnancy)🙏
It changed my life and I can’t wait to help all of your bellies and pelvic floors!🤗
IBS can be lonely, painful, and cause you to feel CRAZY at times! BUT don’t worry. You aren’t crazy, you aren’t alone, and it’s not “All in your head”! Don’t let anybody or any doctor gaslight you about your belly and pelvic floor issues❌
Here is some important information on IBS that everyone should know: ⬇️⬇️⬇️
IBS is one of the most commonly diagnosed gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. Approximately 10-15 percent of people suffer from IBS but majority of people don’t seek treatment! IBS symptoms are 1.5-2 times more common in WOMEN. IBS is more common in younger people (under the age of 50) and the prevalence decreases with age. The precise cause of IBS isn’t known.
🛑Risk factors include: young age, female, estrogen therapy before or after menopause, family history, mental health issues such as anxiety or depression, and history of physical or emotional abuse.
Signs and symptoms of IBS include:
1️⃣Abdominal pain, cramping or bloating that is usually relieved or lessened by having a bowel movement.
2️⃣Excess gas production
3️⃣Diarrhea or constipation (typically bouts of diarrhea and constipation occur)
4️⃣Mucus in the stool
