Grit Breuer (born February 16, 1972 in Röbel / Müritz) - German athlete, initially competing in the colors of the GDR.
She was a promising junior, incl. she won two world titles in this category (400 m and 4 x 400 m). In 1990, she won two gold medals at the European Championship. During the World Championships in 1991, she won a silver medal and set the world record for juniors (49.42 seconds), which is still her life record. In 1992, she was suspended for doping. She returned to the sport in 1993, but in the international arena her greatest success was mainly in the relay. In 1996, together with her friends, she won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay. In 2003, she ended her sports career. Twice recognized as the best athlete of the year in Germany. Currently she works as a fitness trainer and golf instructor at the hotel "Neptun" in Warnemünde.
