With flu season around the corner and everyone's attention on the COVID-19 vaccines, don't forget to get your flu shot. A lot of people ask me "how long do I need to wait between the COVID-19 vaccine and the flu shot?" Well, should you wait to get the flu shot after getting the COVID-19 vaccine? The answer is no. In the world of vaccine medicine waiting between different types of vaccines isn't common practice unless you are getting a "live" vaccine. Neither the mRNA vaccines or the flu shot are "live" vaccines so you don't need to worry. In fact, they're working on combining the flu shot with the COVID-19 vaccine for next season.
