‘Jocelyn’ was one of the 6 opera’s Benjamin Godard (1849-1895) has written. It is the story of a young man who intended to take up the religious life but instead falls in love with a young girl. All of the music is forgotten, except for this utterly beautiful Berceuse, in this recording arranged for piano 4 hands.
