First IMPRESSION of NAGALAND | Dimapur - Kachari Ruins, Super market, Hong Kong Market
Here is our vlog on our first impression of Nagaland in the city of Dimapur, lets explore Dimapur today!
Nagaland, state of India, lying in the hills and mountains of the northeastern part of the country. It is one of the smaller states of India. Nagaland is bounded by the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh to the northeast, Manipur to the south, and Assam to the west and northwest and the country of Myanmar (Burma) to the east. The state capital is Kohima, located in the southern part of Nagaland.
The Nagas, an Indo-Asiatic people, form more than 20 tribes, as well as numerous subtribes, and each one has a specific geographic distribution.The Naga tribes lack a common language; there are about 60 spoken dialects, all belonging to the Sino-Tibetan language family.
In this episode we visited Dimapur explored the town and some attractions here. We visited the Kachari ruins and then went on to explore the local markets of Dimapur , the super market and the Hong Kong market. The Super Market is a place where the local people shop for their day to day food items and we were quite shocked to see the various kind of items sold there. Then we went on to visit the Hong Kong market which is basically a clothes and fashion market where you can get some cheap finds but the alley ways are quite dingy and its very crowded.
A couple of days back we had the opportunity to visit this beautiful state and explore some parts of the state and this is a small representation of what Nagaland holds.
