For this experiment I have tested 2 new baits from Forgotten Flavours , 12mm chilli crab and 15mm Fizz Bizz, and put them to the test against each other. After reviewing the footage, it shows that the carp were more interested in the 12mm chilli crab pop up over the bigger sized bottom bait. I used a modified Ronnie rig so I could fish it on a chod style, this is called a Roddy rig, with a 12mm chilli crab pop up. for the other rod I used a 15mm fizz bizz pop up drilled out to make it sit on the bottom on a noodle rig. Both rigs used size 4 hooks but one was a curve shank and the other a wide gape. VERY interesting to see how different fish react to each bait and which one they favoured.
