Focal motor seizures are of lateralizing and localizing value.
In this video, you can see motor seizures involving the right foot. The epileptogenic focus is in contralateral (left) frontal lobe. Focal seizures affect feet, hands and face more often due to these parts being more widely represented in frontal cortex.
You can also notice versive seizures leading to forced deviation of eyes and head to the right side. A left frontal epileptogenic focus is responsible for this. Versive seizures contralateral to the side of lesion is referred to as contraversive seizures.
