The third season of excavations at Beaubec, outside Drogheda in County Meath, have just finished under the supervision of Matthew and Geraldine Stout. I brought my drone along every evening at the close of that day's digging to capture an overhead aerial view. Here are those 20 views, captured over the past four weeks, put together as a time-lapse sequence. In that time, the excavators have uncovered a Cistercian barn and associated features, along with lots of pottery and other finds.
