Size 7(ish? they aren't labeled) double pointed needles
Scissors, tapestry needle
*Lola's approximate measurements*
Neck Circumference: 10"
Neck to leg distance: 3"
Torso circumference: 15.25"
Chest width between legs: 5.5"
Leg circumference: 3"
*GAUGE*
15.5 stitches x 24 rows = 4" square
*DIRECTIONS*
- Cast on 36 stitches
- Join in the round
- work in Knit 2, Purl 2 rib for 1.5"
INCREASE FOR BODY
- knit 1 round
- *K5 stitches, knit next stitch in front and back loop -- repeat from * to end of round (42 stitches)
- knit 1 round
- *K6 stitches, knit next stitch in front and back loop -- repeat from * to end of round (48 stitches)
- knit 1 round
- *K7 stitches, knit next stitch in front and back loop -- repeat from * to end of round (54 stitches)
- knit 1 round
- *K8 stitches, knit next stitch in front and back loop -- repeat from * to end of round (60 stitches)
- knit 6 rounds
MAKE LEG HOLES
- knit 9 stitches, bind off 6 stitches
- knit until 15 stitches are remaining
- bind off 6 stitches, knit 8 stitches (to have 9 stitches remaining before the end of round)
CLOSE LEG HOLES
- knit 9 stitches, cast on 6 stitches with backward loop method
- work around to the other leg hole, cast on 6 stitches with backward loop method
- knit the remaining 9 stitches of round
FINISHING THE SWEATER
- knit until you reach 1.5" less than your desired length (I worked about 4.5" from the end of the neck ribbing)
- work in knit 2, purl 2 rib for 1.5 inches
- bind off loosely in pattern
