An experimental drug for Alzheimer's disease slowed cognitive decline in a closely watched trial, but may carry a risk of dangerous side effects for certain patients. However, Dr. Donald Weaver, senior scientist at the University Hospital Network's Krembil Brain Institute in Toronto, still calls it a 'step in the right direction.'
