A ferry carrying around 200 passengers has capsized on the River Padma, south-west of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
The bodies of two people have been recovered but there are fears that more may have died, but rescue teams have saved a hundred people.
A ferry sank in the same district in May resulting in about 50 deaths. It is not known what caused the latest incident but police say the vessel may have been overloaded.
