CHABIMURA ( also known as DEVTAMURA ) is situated on the bank of river GOMTI in AMARPUR subdivision, GOMTI district, TRIPURA.

You can reach here by road , only 82KM from AGARTALA , capital of TRIPURA.

CHABIMURA is famous for its natural beauty as well as historic SANDSTONE carved idols of hindu Gods & Goddesses. Among them the most important is CHAKMAKRA or RUDRABHAIRABI idol which is slightly similar to MAHISASURMARDINI . Those idols were made approximately in 15th - 16th century. The place is mainly named as aforesaid just because of these idols.

Tripura Tourism designated this place as Nature & Adventure Tourism Spot and facilitated accommodation as cottages.

So, if you are traveling to Northeast India and searching for a mysterious and calm natural place, then this is perfect for you.
