It's another beautiful morning on our Disney Fantasy 7 night Western Caribbean cruise and we start off by heading to Cabanas for breakfast but as everyone has the same idea it's very busy! We can't find a free table so we decide to have the table service breakfast at Royal Court instead which we thoroughly enjoy.
After breakfast we get our first glimpse of Grand Cayman from our stateroom verandah and then make our way to our meeting point in the Enchanted Garden restaurant to sign in for our Disney Port Adventure excursion.
We follow the cast member with the Snow White paddle for our group and are taken to board the tender boat as the ship cannot dock in the bay at Georgetown due to the low water levels on the coastline. Once ashore, our group is led to an area just a couple of minutes' walk away from the cruise terminal where we are invited to board our glass-bottom boat tour.
The tour cost us $74 per person, booked via Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures and includes complimentary drinking water. The tour operators are great fun and knowledgeable and we get to enjoy breath taking views of famous shipwrecks and Cheeseburger Reef. We even get to see fish dancing!
After the tour we take a walk up and down the seafront and end up in Sharkeez Bar and Grill where we enjoy the atmosphere and try the island speciality dish of conch fritters. It's VERY hot and humid so we take the tender boat back to the ship and are pleased to be given cold wet towels to help us cool down on the way.
Back onboard the Disney Fantasy we head to Cabanas to grab a light lunch and find it pleasantly quiet as most people have gone ashore for the day. On the way back to our stateroom we marvel at all the colourful and creative stateroom door decorations - there are even pin-trading boards and questionnaires!
We enjoy some time relaxing in the stateroom and then head to the Walt Disney Theatre to watch Inside Out 2. On the way we enjoy the pirate-themed music being piped onboard and see some of the character meet and greets, including Jack Sparrow, in full swing.
Back in the stateroom we don our complimentary pirate bandanas and make our way to Deck 11 for Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean pool deck show with some very special characters including Pirate Mickey and Captain Hook. Tracey also enjoys the special pirate night "cocktail of the day".
Dinner tonight is in Enchanted Garden even though the same Caribbean inspired pirate night menu is being served in all the rotational dining restaurants.
Soon it's time for the final pirate pool deck show of the evening with Captain Jack Sparrow - literally - dropping in to join the fun. Unfortunately, we mis-judged how busy the upper desk would be to view the fireworks so ended up on the pool deck with an obscured view. However, the excitement and atmosphere were still thrilling and we still enjoyed the spectacle and music.
After the show we head back to the stateroom and are greeted by the best pirate-themed towel art of the trip thanks to Bart, our stateroom host.

We are Keith, Tracey, Luke, and Daisy. We have been going on family vacations to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida for almost 19 years. We have stayed on International Drive, Universal Resorts, and several Walt Disney World Resorts and became Disney Vacation Club members in 2022. Inspired by seeing other people sharing their adventures on YouTube, we decided to document our experiences too. When not in Florida we run an accommodation business and support Luke’s motor racing adventures in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship. We have recently started filming on a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and edit using Adobe Premier Pro. Older vlogs were filmed on a Canon G7X Mark II compact camera and edited in i-Movie.
