A daring helicopter rescue by two pilots flying for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust shows them plucking a trapped tanker driver from the flood waters of the Kenyan Sabaki river.
The pilots, Taru Carr-Hartley and Roan Carr-Hartley, managed to reach the driver, James Rufus, hovering just inches above him and the tanker he was clinging to last week.
The tanker had been pushed on to its side and engulfed when a flash flood hit suddenly the Galana-Kulalu causeway.
Flooding in the area is a constant threat during the rainy season. (AP)
