Recently at D23, it was announced that the Rivers of America at the Magic Kingdom in Florida will be removed in 2025 for a new Cars Land Expansion. This is part of the Beyond Big Thunder Expansion which also includes a Villains land for the park. However, many Disney Parks fans are upset over the loss of the Rivers of America. The Rivers of America was part of Walt Disney's Original plan for the Magic Kingdom and also brought tranquility and kinetic energy into the park. While I myself was upset over this change as well, after examining the Rivers of America and Exhausting all options, it became explicitly clear why the River needed to be removed.
