General Ratko Mladic has been sacked as commander of the Bosnian Serb armed forces, under a decree issued by Bosnian Serb President Biljana Plavsic, the SRNA news agency reported on Saturday (9/11).
Mladic, 53, who is wanted by the international war crimes tribunal in The Hague, was replaced by Major General Pero Colic, 58, SRNA said.
Plavsic, quoted by SRNA, said the general command of the Republika Srpska armed forces had been reshuffled, possibly meaning that all the generals concerned had also been replaced.
