Gregory Ducrocq, France, discusses two studies related to ischaemic outcomes. The first one, a Korean randomised trial, compared two angioplasty strategies: a conventional one, guided by angiography, and another strategy guided by IVUS, with an interesting result on ischemic outcomes.
The second one is an analysis of the DAPT trial, which compared a strategy of dual anti-platelet therapy stopped at 1 year with another one prolonged after one year, and their results on ischemic events. Ducrocq also evokes the scoring system created to stratify patients who can derive net benefit from DAPT beyond one year.
