The Chinese manufacturer has been in the news recently due to a fatal NIO Pilot crash involving one of the country's most well known entrepreneurs. We take time to look at the software's limitations in this regard.

Also, if you're wanting to compare Nio Pilot vs Tesla Autopilot, there are many things to take into account. Certainly, the NIO Pilot technology for parking - with its bird's eye camera view - seems smoother, quicker & more advanced than Tesla's Autopilot. However, in separate testing, Autopilot has been far more responsive in accident detection & prevention. In this regard it still tops the NIO ADAS technology, along with the other systems rated as level 2 autonomy on the Chinese market.
