Three different support groups have picked up expression of interest and nomination forms for Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele to contest the Presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress...
The N100 million forms were picked up by the Rice Farmers Association, the Emefiele Support Group and Friends of Godwin. The groups say Emefiele is the only responsible and responsive person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2023 general election.
According to them, the CBN Governor has shown capacity, focus, courage and worked tirelessly with President Buhari's economic team to keep Nigeria's economy afloat above recession and outright collapse.
However, the CBN governor has not officially indicated interest in running for the presidency.
Emefiele had said that he is focused on strengthening the nation's economy.
