At the conclusion of our Viking River cruise down the Rhine we spent a couple extra days in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Viking extension included a trip up a funicular and cable car to the top of the Stanserhorn (6,227 ft above sea level). We were lucky to catch beautiful weather and views from the edge of the alps were outstanding.
