2022 marks the 80th anniversary of the Kokoda Campaign. Invited by the Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway Board, Commander 1st Division, Major General Scott Winter, AM represented Army at the 80th anniversary commemoration at Rhodes Park, PNG on 3 Nov 2022. The commemorative service included remarks from the Hon. Patrick Conroy Minister for Defence Industry, Minister for International Development and the Pacific and the unveiling of the Private Bruce Kingsbury VC Memorial Garden, and wreath-laying.
