Along with the rest of the Nation, Paren district celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15 August at Government Higher Secondary School ground Jalukie town Pare, Nagaland. The event started at 9 a.m with Tovihoto Ayemi as a special guest. The Government Higher Secondary School, St. Xavier college, Ibang thou memorial school, Barial valley higher secondary school, Christian high school were the parade contingents in the event celebrated
