Madu River is a wetland located near the small town of Balapitiya along the Colombo Galle highway in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The river flows through a terrain where it creates a large number of islands, and the ecosystem creates a beautiful wetland. It is a popular tourist destination, and there are many hotels around that provide boat rides through the canals created at a good cost.
