Counting how many times a word has been used inside a line could come handy time to time. There is a tremendous formula for this problem. In this video i will solve this problem using a formula. Follow these steps to count how many times a certain word appeared in a cell or data range or in a paragraph.
Step 1: Write the line in Cell A1. From this cell the formula will count the word.
Step 2: Write the word that you want to count in cell B1
Step 3: In cell C1 place the formula and it will how you the number a certain word used inside Cell A1.
Here goes the formula for you convenience:
=(LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,B1,"")))/LEN(B1)
