Sleep is the foundation of health. Without sleep, you'll be fighting against the tide to feel better. But it's a catch 22 situation. When you feel anxious, it's harder to fall asleep because there are so many thoughts running around in your head. And if you don't sleep, your body releases more cortisol, which leads to more stress and anxiety.
So I offer a solution here ... a body scan embedded within a calming sleep story. This guided sleep meditation will help you use guided imagery to turn off your anxious thoughts while you gently follow my voice. Leading you away from worry and into a magical world of better sleep.
You might find that feeling anxious shortens your sleep duration. Even the worst insomniac sleeps a little, but it doesn't feel satisfying. So trying a combination of bedtime stories and relaxation techniques can help you get into the routine of sleep cycle and even if you don't fall asleep, your brain and body are still resting at a predictable time.
