In Thailand, North and South Andaman are two distinct destinations separated by Phuket.
While we have been diving the North Andaman extensively in the last 10 years (see all other videos), this was the first time we dived in Koh Lipe near the Malaysian border.
Our boat is safely moored in Ranong for the rainy season and we went on a recognition mission to prepare our future trips in the South Andaman as soon as December !
That’s something very new and exciting for the next season as MV Smiling Seahorse, usually cruising in Myanmar, has never been below the Similan islands before.
From 3rd to 10th of December 2021 we will run a one-of-a-kind expedition to dive ALL of the BEST DIVE SITES in the ANDAMAN SEA from Richelieu Rock to Koh Lipe.
This will be a 8 days/7 nights cruise passing through 4 marine national parks: Surin islands, Similan islands, Koh Lanta National park and Tarutao National park (Lipe).
But first, let’s look at what the South Andaman diving looks like in this video!
We saw too many frogfishes, seahorses, nuids and bentstick pipefish to count but the highlight for me was the Rhinopia! Happy viewing and don't forget to subscribe.
