Josh McAllister the independent chair of the review, presented an online learning session hosted by Contact and the NNPCF to share the “Case for Change” and what it means for children and young people with SEND and their families. In January 2021, the government announced a review into children’s social care. The review team has been working with stakeholders across the Children’s social care system to understand their experiences and thoughts on the children’s social care system. The NNPCF have been working with the review team to ensure the voice of parent carer forums is heard and that the review understands and considers the unique challenges faced by our families. The review team will be publishing their “Case for Change”, which outlines what they have heard and on the 24th June 2021.
