Denis Schwartz, technical director of the MEG-EEG platform of the ICM will present the results of a recent study aimed at improving MEG localisation of the sources of deep activity in the brain using Minimum Norm like methods. They built a detailed anatomical and electrophysiological model of subcortical structures (amygdalo-hippocampal complex and several central grey nuclei). Detectability was evaluated using MEG and localisation errors computed using several activation configuration. To conclude, he will show results on real signals. In the second part Denis presents preliminary results of a joint study with Jürgen Dammers aimed at improving the results of Granger causality measure through an a priori selection of signals components.
