“14일의 기적”…중국 매몰 광부 11명 ‘극적 생환’
After being trapped underground for two weeks at a gold mine blast site in east China's Shandong Province..., eleven miners were lifted to safety on Sunday afternoon.
A total of twenty two miners were trapped at a depth of 6-hundred meters, and have awaited rescue while receiving food and medicine provided through a communication shaft.
"The rescuers checked the miners to see if they had any injuries and covered their eyes for protection. Generally speaking, the rescue operation proceeded faster than expected."
Rescue operations are continuing,... but the fate of ten other miners remains unknown, and at least one is reported to have died.
