Filmed on 04/01/2016. Season 3 Episode 1: The first outing of the year see's us taking a trip to another of the busiest stations outside London, Manchester Piccadilly.

At this station we see a variety of Northern Rail, East Midlands Trains, First Transpennine Express and Virgin Trains heading for a variety of stations including: Crewe, Stoke On Trent, Manchester Airport, Liverpool Lime Street, Newcastle, Scarborough and many more.

A new look for trainspotting videos for this year and would like to know what you all think about it.

There was supposed to be Arriva Trains Wales serving this station but they called on a strike causing a lot of problems for people travelling to Wales resulting in commuters going via London to get to Wales.

With Virgin Trains not being able to serve Scotland during the day, passengers were advised to travel via York on Transpennine Express and change for services to Scotland. Some trains managed to make it from Scotland to Manchester but majority of services on WCML went as far as Carlisle due to flooding.

All respect and thoughts are to those hit by the floods, the damage the storm caused is beyond unreal, particularly that hit at Christmas time that's worse of all. I hope all those who are hit by the floods are all okay and safe and hope they will get their houses repaired and ready to move back to.
