Sainji village is a good 5 kms from the famous Kempty falls of Mussoorie, in the Tehri Garhwal district. It is just off the main road that takes you towards Yamunotri. As I stepped out of the car through the main gate of the village, I could see what Ashish meant. Every house, and I mean literally every house of the 400 members of the village, was adorned with corn cobs. And that is when I felt that the name “corn village” was just apt.
