South Korean athletes are likely to get the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer,... before they head to the Tokyo Olympics.
The culture and sports ministry says it's currently in negotiations with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
The original plan was to use the AstraZeneca vaccine,...but the government has stopped giving it to people under 30 due to rare blood clot complications.
Most of the athletes are under 30 years old.
The Tokyo Olympics opens on July 23rd,...after being postponed for a year due to the pandemic.
