People want their organizations and communities to be places where everyone, regardless of background, can thrive but often struggle to turn this dream into reality. Diversity, equity, and inclusion leader and scholar Dr. Brianna Davis Johnson leverages her research and personal journey to make the case for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership, a powerful strategy that can help organizations and communities of all kinds reach their full potential. Dr. Brianna Davis Johnson is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leader, speaker, and facilitator dedicated to making organizations and communities places where everyone can thrive. She leads DEI efforts in colleges and universities of various sizes and types, nonprofit organizations, and local communities. As a scholar, her research examines how DEI initiatives are advanced within universities and how organizational policies and practices can hamper them, and she has published on various DEI topics in higher education. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. from Northwestern University, and a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.
