This is one of Bradford's secret Punjabi Dhaba style food venues - which is situated in the Cannon Mills Sunday only market.

It's in a very basic setting but that does not detract from the delicious Indian & Pakistan "Street Style Food" being conjured up by these guys.

Our trip to Bradford is not complete if we don't make a visit to Cannon Mills Market and if you like Parathas then this video is especially for you; because in this video you can watch an "Expert Paratha Maker" in action.

We absolutely love a place such as this, a place which reminds us of the Indian Subcontinent's pavement kitchens' that provide sustenance for its many inhabitants with the cheapest and tastiest of freshly made food anywhere. Reminding us of the street characters who create food that is blessed by hand and human touch and further energised and charged by positive thoughts.

You can go many times to India and love it every moment of your time spent there, (but you're always sad in the knowledge that India only exists in India and nowhere else) the sights you see, the sounds you hear, the people you meet; all serve to feed you not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually. So when we come across a place such as this; we humbly raise our hat and take a bow because we have not only just got a snack but we've also been given a taste of back home.

You can catch them every Sunday at the ever popular Cannon Mills Sunday Market, its a market baazar which offers Asians a little taste of "back home" right in the heart of Yorkshire (in North England) and so is especially popular with Pakistani, Indian and Asian visitors alike.

The stall / shop which serves Asian savouries such as Pakoras, Samosa chaats and omlette parathas is located at the Cannon Mills market village, the address is: Cannon Mill Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD7 3HW (there is plenty of free parking, but we advise that you get there early to get a good spot for your car).

Taking a walk around the great, colourful outdoor and indoor market makes you feel like you are somehow magically transported to an exotic, far off eastern market bazaar walking around in a market place somewhere in Pakistan or India..........not Bradford.
