Henning Vahlbruch very kindly contacted me recently to see if I'd be interested in trying out his gear. Of course I would! And my first experience with this hand-made German brand does not disappoint. The Kaluna is a dual triode tube circuit based around a 12AX7 at 250v. It has all of the characteristics and dynamics of a tube amp, something like a JCM800 or similar. The 3-band tone controls are +/- 12dB and come after the tube preamp section so they affect gain and volume too - in a good way!
This video is based around a JTM45 (model), a Charvel HH San Dimas and Danelectro. A second video based on a Deluxe Reverb and Eric Johnson Strat can be viewed at [ Ссылка ].
