Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has called for the prosecution of police officers accused of shooting dead three people at Lessos Police station last Thursday.
Governor Sang said that there is a need for the families of the victims to get justice.
He observed that the police officers who were involved in the shooting incident must face the law.
He petitioned IPOA to speed up investigations into the incident with a view of taking stern action against the perpetrators.
Speaking at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital when he visited one of the five people who sustained police wounds, Governor Sang warned against the misuse of guns by police officers.
The county and local leaders have planned a fund drive towards supporting the burial of the three victims who perished in the incident.
