Weather Expert Chris Franklin explains how Hurricane Elsa continues to lose strength as its track turns towards Florida.
As of 5 am on Saturday, the center of Hurricane Elsa was located 190 miles east-southeast of Isla Beata, Dominican Republic. Elsa is moving west-northwest at 31 mph with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. The fast movement of the storm may potentially weaken the storm as it nears Cuba on Sunday.
Friday afternoon, Elsa had strengthened with winds up to 85 mph then dying down to 80 mph by Friday night.
