Tips to nurse a baby in cross-cradle position:
1. Place the baby even with your breast. Use a nursing pillow or bed pillow if necessary.
2. Baby should be on his/her side with ear, shoulder, hip all lined up.
3. Line up the baby's nose with your nipple.
4. Brush your nipple down across your baby's lips from top to bottom.
5. When the baby opens his/her mouth wide, then bring the baby onto the nipple getting as much as the areola (dark part) into the baby's mouth.
6. Check that the baby's lips are flanged out.
