This is a low speed juicer that processes at 80 RPM which is supposed to prevent oxidation and allow you to store the juice longer than faster juicers would. This unit is vertical and compact. It measures 15.5 inches tall by 7 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep. It weighs 11 lbs. The parts that touch food are BPA free.
Let’s put the Omega together. Put the strainer into the cleaning brush. Should keep the screen clear while juicing. Place that into the bowl matching up the red dots. Push the Auger into the strainer. The Hopper goes on the bowl match up the arrow and the red dot. Place the entire set onto the base, twist the bowl to make sure the edge is pointing to the close marking. Plug in the unit. Place the two containers one for the juice and one for the pulp. If you want all the juice to come out of the juice spout, pull out this rubber gasket.
Press On to start juicing, Use Reverse if something gets stuck and the off button is in the middle.
The chute is small so you will have to spend time cutting up your fruits and vegetables. It’s not like a centrifugal juicer with a large chute where you can throw in whole apples, carrots etc.
Use the pusher only to push food down. Don’t juice any hard seeds. It’s best to use fresh fruit and vegetables so you get the most yield. The machine might shake and make a squeaking noise during juicing and that’s normal.
Don’t use the unit for more than 30 minutes at a time.
To clean, turn the machine to off. Clean up is much faster if you do it right after juicing. Twist the hopper to unlock, the arrow should match the open sign and pull up. Twist the top off, pull up the auger, the strainer and cleaning brush. All the parts are hand wash only, not dishwasher safe. Use the included brush to clean. Dry all the parts. The base can be wiped down with a damp cloth and dried.
The noise level - very quiet since it juices at a low speed. This Omega comes with a ten year warranty. Overall, this juicer is a good value. It juiced the carrots, kale, apples and cucumber really well with very dry pulp.
