The embattled Mogalakwena Municipal council has petitioned the Supreme Court of Appeal to challenge a high court decision to set aside the appointment of its municipal manager.
Last year, the High Court in Polokwane ruled that Morris Maluleka's appointment was unlawful and that the position should be re-advertised.
Last month, the same court dismissed an application for leave to appeal with costs.
