The Lebanese Ministry of Environment World Bank League of Arab States United Nations Development Programme and Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut held a presentation of the draft flagship report "Consultations on Adaptation to a Changing Climate in the Arab Countries"
The World Bank flagship study was launched in July 2010 in Cairo, Egypt, at the premises of the League of Arab States (LAS), where a group of regional institutions and researchers discussed the content and outline, which was subsequently endorsed by the Ministries of Environment at the Joint Committee on the Environment and Development in the LAS meeting in October 2010. Since then, researchers, institutions, and experts from throughout the Arab region have come together in two workshops to define the scope and produce the first drafts of the chapters.
