Returning to its old stomping ground ….
This is one of 27 MCV Evolution bodied MAN 14.220s once operated by Travel De Courcey, who sadly collapsed in 2020 after loss of contracts and then the pandemic causing further financial problems.
At the collapse 13 MCVs remained in the fleet, and 6 have gone onto new homes. It’s worth noting 2 of the examples which left some years ago were exported to Malta.
Orbit Coaches based in Leicester have two of these, the other being fully liveried and is former TDC 563/AE07NYR. Their bus fleet mainly consists of Scania Omnidekkas and East Lancs Cityzens.
This bus was serving Rail Replacement for West Midlands Railway: Nuneaton to Leamington Spa
Calling at: Bermuda Park, Bedworth, Arena Park, Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa
Note this Rail Replacement has recently been converted to single deck operation, partly due to a minor collision at Nuneaton Station with a double decker, and partly due to reduced demand for the buses as an hourly train service is now operating.
