Launched in 1992, since 25 years, National AIDS Control Programme by NACO is implementing stringent policies to contain the adversities of AIDS, lowering it to the level of being a manageable chronic disease and not an epidemic. This has been done in collaboration with several NGOs, women’s self-help groups and other faith-based organizations.
With a vision to pave the way for an AIDS-free India, National AIDS Control Organization (NACO)
has taken significant measures to ensure quality care and a life of dignity for patients with HIV. It is committed to curbing the spread of HIV by making the mass more aware and engaging the people affected, play a key role in reversing the HIV epidemic.
